Museums and Cultural Attractions
The City of Stockholm have more than 100 museums and cultural attractions - from large well known museums like the Vasa Museum to smaller cultural pearls like the Hallwyl Palace. Here are some examples of the larger museums with ongoing both temporary and permanent exhibitions:
- NOBEL MUSEET
Opening hours: Tuesdays 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesdays through Sundays 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Mondays closed. Admission fee: 60 SEK
Nobel Museet offers guided tours in English every day. Museum Tours daily at 11:15 a.m. and 3 p.m. There is no extra fee for guided tours. Address: Börshuset, Stortorget, Old Town, +46 (0)8 534 818 18
- MODERNA MUSEET
Opening hours: Tuesdays 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesdays through Sundays 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Mondays closed
Admission fee: 80 SEK. Moderna Museet has audio guides that lets you choose what you want to listen to - at your own pace. The audio guide is free of charge and is available in Swedish, English, French and German. Address: Skeppsholmen +46 (0)8 5195 5200
- NORDISKA MUSEET
Opening hours: Monday through Friday 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesdays open until 8 p.m.
Admission fee: 60 SEK

- VASAMUSEET
Opening hours: Thursday through Tuesday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.,Wednesdays 10 a.m. to 8 p.m
Admission fee: 95 SEK
Vasamuseet offers guided tours in English every day. Museum Tours daily at 10:30 a.m. 12:30 a.m. 2:30 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. There is no extra fee for guided tours.Address: Galärvarvsvägen 14, Djurgården +46 (0)8 519 548 00
- THE ROYAL PALACE, THE TREASURY, & THE TRE KRONOR MUSEUM
Opening hours: Tuesdays through Sundays 12 a.m. to 3 p.m.

- DROTTNINGHOLM Palace
Opening hours: Daily 12 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Admission fee: 70 SEK Guided tours are offered in English every day at 12 a.m. and 2 p.m. free of charge. Address: Drottningholm. Regular boat services in summertime depart from Stadshuskajen (the City Hall Quay) to Drottningholm with Strömma Kanalbolaget. +46 (0)8 402 62 00
- SKANSEN
Opening hours: Daily 10 am. to 8 p.m.

Tours
Strömma Kanalbolaget operates popular excursion destinations in the Stockholm archipelago, often with a guide on board and the ability to enjoy a lovely lunch or dinner.
