The Seattle E-Days Special Edition May 5-7, 2010, is an integrated part of Seattle’s Sweden Week May 3-9, 2010. Building on an already successful concept of business matchmaking, interactive exhibits, expert panels, seminars and effective networking, this Special Edition of E-Days in Seattle will bring attention to three of Seattle’s most important industries: Sustainable Development/Clean Tech, MedTech Innovations, and Mobile ICT Applications.

The opening of Sweden Week will be a celebratory event showcasing Sweden with food, entertainment and both local and Swedish VIPs.
Nobel Laureate Tribute Dinner
Her Royal Highness Princess Madeleine of Sweden; all five local Nobel Laureates connected to the University of Washington and Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center; and other local dignitaries will be attending this elegant dinner in honor of the Nobel Laureates. Chefs from the Swedish National Culinary Team, who have experience with the Nobel Dinner in Stockholm, will prepare the meal.
Raoul Wallenberg Tribute Dinner
Arranged by the Nordic Heritage Museum, this is an annual gala dinner to remember Raoul Wallenberg. The keynote speaker will be from the field of social justice, which is an important part of Swedish culture.
Swedish Hospital Centennial Celebration Gala Dinner
Founded in 1909 by Dr. Nils Johansson and supported by eleven Swedish investors, Swedish Hospital saw its first patient in 1910. Today, Swedish Hospital is the largest and most comprehensive hospital in the Northwest, highly recognized both nationally and internationally. The “Celebrate Swedish” gala is an annual event, and Swedish Medical Center Foundation’s biggest fundraiser.

5th Annual Seattle Sweden Diabetes Awareness Day
To increase awareness about child diabetes, researchers from both Sweden and Seattle will present the latest developments in treating and potentially curing Type 1 diabetes.
